Ashvika mehta~
I stormed off, angry, and he called out, "Kaha ja rahi ho, Mohtarma?" (Where are you going, Mohtarma?)
His face hinted at a smile, which only fueled my irritation.
"Narak mai, aajao ek sath chalein" (To hell, come and let's go together), I snapped, rolling my eyes.
He chuckled and said, "Oh acha, jao jao mai yahi theek hu" (Oh, okay, go ahead, I'm fine here).
He leaned against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest, a picture of nonchalance.
I muttered, "Sir ke pass jaa rahi ho" (I'm going to see Sir), avoiding eye contact.
He straightened up, his expression turning serious. "Phir toh mai bhi chalta hu" (Then I'll come too), he said, falling into step beside me.
We headed to the medical room, where we found a boy attempting to twist Sir's sprained feet without warning. As soon as he did, Sir instinctively slapped him across the face. Sir let out a pained scream, and I immediately recoiled, my back colliding with Vedant's chest.
"Dhayan se" (Be careful), Vedant whispered.
The boy who got slapped rubbed his cheek, wincing in pain. "Ab chal ke dekho, theek ho aap" (Now go check, are you okay?), he said to Sir.
Sir gingerly moved his feet, a relieved smile spreading across his face. "Thank you, I'm sorry I slapped you," he apologized, starting to pace around the room.
The boy shook his head, trying to brush off the incident. "It's okay, I'm fine." I highly doubted that.
That boy left, and I apologized to sir. "I'm sorry, sir, because of meโ" "Haan Haan beta, maaf kiya. Dhyan rakhna aage se," he said. I nodded and turned to Vedant, who was using his phone.
"Chalein?" I asked. He nodded and walked away, and I followed him.
"It was easy," I said as I walked beside him. He gave me a small smile, his eyes all red.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah... I'm going somewhere. You go enjoy with Svarna and Ishaan."
โWhere are you going?โ I asked him.
โNone of your business,โ he said rudely and left.
I stared at his retreating figure, but he didnโt even turn to look back at me. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. It was none other than Ishaan.
โHe left?โ he asked.
โYeah... But where did he go? Heโs not in a good state. Agar usse kuchh ho gaya?โ I said to Ishaan, concern etched on my face.
โKuch nahi hoga, aadat ho gayi hai ab toh usse inn sab cheezon ki,โ Ishaan chuckled.
โTumhe kyu fikar hai uski?โ he added.
โAise hi,โ I replied.
โWhat happened to him?โ I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.
โ He'll tell you himself.โ
